“You speak to God in prayers, God speaks to you in meditation.” – Sri Karunamayi
VEDIC STUDIES Fridays, Sept. 12 & 28; Oct. 10 & 24, Nov. 14, 7-9 pm. Learn Samputita Sri Suktam. The Sri Suktam is a beautiful Vedic hymn that describes Divine Mother Lakshmi's supreme love and compassion for Her children. The Samputita Sri Suktam combines the Sri Suktam with the Rig Veda Maha Lakshmi Mantra as well as a powerful mantra to Sri Durga Devi, from the Chandi Saptasati in order to increase the auspicious spiritual benefits of chanting this hymn.
We will be chanting the Samputita Sri Suktam in front of an energized clear crystal Sri Chakra, a symbol of Sri Lakshmi Devi. As the sound vibrations focus and become absorbed in the Sri Chakra, a tremendous cosmic energy emanates from the Sri Chakra and blesses the chanter as well as the entire household. It has been said that chanting the Samputita Sri Suktam in front of a Sri Chakra is equal to chanting all four Vedas ten million times. This is from the teachings of Karunamayi. The discussion will be led by Jim Allen who is an avid devotee and student of Vedic studies, and is accomplished at Vedic recitation. Donations are appreciated.
